Form a pyramid of six reds behind the pink spot.
Play the cue-ball from the D to open the reds. Then place the cue-ball for each shot and pot the reds using the rest.Count reds potted from the break off and if a pot on a red is missed take the red off the table after it has stopped rolling.

Spot the black then position the cue-ball to form an off straight pot as shown.
Have six goes at potting the black and bringing the cue-ball round the top and side cushions with top-spin.The black must be potted and the top and side cushions (not the jaws of the pocket) contacted by the cue-ball.

Set up the table for a frame of snooker.
With the cue-ball placed anywhere directly behind each baulk colour, have two goes at escaping each snooker to gently nestle into the side of the pack.Only minor movement of the reds is allowed!

Evenly space six reds as shown, each in contact with the top cushion.
Place the cue-ball at least one ball’s width from the top cushion behind the red nearest the top corner pocket. Pot the reds along the cushion into the same top corner pocketThe rest may be used.

5. Colours in order
Line the six colours two balls’ widths apart with the blue spot splitting them in half and then put six points on the scoreboard.
Starting with the yellow clear the colours in order, playing the cue-ball from where it finishes. Remove one point from the scoreboard after each miss.The colours can be potted into any pocket. Re-set the cue-ball and any unpotted colours after each miss.
Continue until no points remain or all colours are potted.
