Level Five – Bronze Routines

1. Back Spin

Spot the black and position the cue-ball to form a three quarter ball pot as shown.

Have six goes at potting the black ball and bringing the cue-ball back off the top and side cushions with back-spin

The black must be potted and the top and side cushions (not the jaws of the pocket) contacted by the cue-ball for the shot to count.

Award a point each time shot is achieved.

If score achieved, record below.

2. Blue Potting Angles

Form an arc of six reds so that the three-quarter-ball, half-ball and quarter-ball shots are formed each side of the blue.

Replace each red in turn with the cue-ball and pot the blue off its spot into the middle pocket.

The shot does not count if the cue-ball goes in off.

Allow up to six misses then record a score based on the number of blues potted.

If score achieved, record below.

3. Cannon from the Black

As shown, position a red half way between the pink and black spots then place the black on its spot.

Have six goes at potting the black and cannoning the red with the cue-ball.

Replace the red, re-spot the black and re-position the cue-ball after each shot.

Award a point each time shot is achieved.

If score achieved, record below.

4. Just off Cushion Pots

Position six reds a ball’s width apart on a diagonal halfway between the pink spot and middle pocket.

Placing the cue-ball one ball’s width off the side cushion each time, pot the reds into the facing middle pocket.

Award a point for each red potted.

If score achieved, record below.

5. Colours in sequence

Line the colours between the pink and black spots and then put six points up on the scoreboard.

Clear the colours in sequence. No cannons are allowed. Remove one point from the scoreboard after each miss.

Re-set the cue-ball and unpotted colours after each miss.

Continue until no points remain or all colours are potted.
