Pink-Blacks

Spot the pink and black.

With the cue-ball positioned for the first shot only, keep potting pink-black, pink-black.

Have up to three goes to do twenty pink-blacks.

Record best score achieved. Maximum is 20.


Mid-Range Rest Pots

As shown, tightly line ten reds in a diagonal from the pink spot.

Place the cue-ball each time pot the reds into the top corner pocket using the rest.

Award a point for each red potted. Maximum score is 20.


The John Higgins

With the colours spotted, spread six reds around the blue, pink and black.

With the cue-ball placed for the first shot only, clear the table.

After a miss, re-set the unpotted balls and the cue-ball. Re-start on the ball that was missed.

Record number of missed shots made. Maximum is 10.


Right Side of Blue

Spot the blue and line six reds, three either side of the pink spot as shown.

Clear the six reds with blues, making sure to get the right side of the blue each time.

Have up to three goes to pot the six reds with blues.

Award a point for each ball potted on best go. Maximum score is 12.


Long Straight Pots

As shown, evenly line up five reds each side of the pink spot.

With the cue-ball placed on the baulk line each time, straight pot each red into the nearest top corner pocket.

Award a point for each red potted. Maximum score is 10.


Screw off Side Cushion Pots

As shown, line five reds between the blue and pinks spots.

With the cue-ball played from inside the baulk half of the table, pot each red into the top pocket screwing the cue-ball off the side cushion.

Repeat this time playing the cue-ball from the other side of the table.

Award a point for each red potted. Maximum score is 10.


Return to Baulk

Spot the colours then line ten reds on a diagonal between the pink and the top cushion as shown.

Starting with the farthest red and playing from the D each time, clip each red in turn bringing the cue-ball back to rest behind the baulk line.

For shot to count some part of the cue-ball must come back to rest behind the baulk line and the red played must stay in the top half of the table

Repeat this time putting the reds on the other side of the table.

Award a point for each shot achieved. Maximum score is 20.


Cannons Safety

Evenly line the colours in sequence along the baulk cushion and then position the ten reds between the blue and black spots.

Playing from behind the baulk line each time and starting with the red on the blue spot, clip off the reds in turn making the cue-ball first cannon the yellow then the green and so on. Replace red if cannon is made!

The routine ends when all the colours have been cannoned or ten missed shots have been made.

Award a point for each colour cannoned and any reds remaining. Maximum score is limited to 10.


Safe Red Cannons

Spot the colours and position ten reds tight against the cushions as shown.

With the cue ball placed for the first shot only, pot a colour and move a red from a cushion. For the break to continue a red or colour must be potted every shot. The routine ends when either a pot is missed or all ten reds have been potted.

The colours are re-spotted after being potted.

Have up to six goes and award a point for each red potted on best go. Maximum is 10.


The V

Spot the colours and position the fifteen reds as shown to form a V between the pink and the black.

With the cue-ball placed for the first shot only, clear the table.

After a miss, re-set the unpotted balls and the cue-ball. Re-start on the ball that was missed.

Record number of missed shots made. Maximum is 10.
